1. How to apply the programme?

You can simply click ‘Apply the Programme’ on this website, then fill out all the questions and attached your resume. 


2. How to choose preference functions and fill out my answers?

We would like to recommend you read all details of 8 functions by clicking ‘Job Function Details’ then match your passion and interest with 3 functions. 

You will learn more about each job function during ‘Virtual Open House’ event and our People Manager (HR team) will help guiding you to the most suitable job function.

3. What recruitment process look like?

Our online application is available now until 8 August 2020. All recruitment steps will be taken via online and virtual events aligning with our ‘Safe-Distancing Policy’ to ensure practice of preventive measures and your health & safety.

4. What recruitment steps and timeline look like?

The successful applicants in each recruitment step will be contacted through email announcement to proceed next step.

Step 1: Online Application: Now – 8 August 2020

Step 2: Online Ability Tests: 16 June – 15 August 2020

Step 3: Virtual Open House & VDO Interview (1-day event): 21 August 2020

Step 4: Virtual Discovery Centre Day (1-day event):  Will be tentatively in the period of 5 – 15 September, to be confirmed. 

Announcement of successful Management Trainees will be on 26 September 2020.  The commencing date of the programme is 1 November 2020.


5. How would I know that I’m a successful applicant in each recruitment step?

You will be contacted within 2 weeks through your email after passing each recruitment step.

Questions about MT Programme

1. What are key benefits of joining Management Trainee Programme?

We want to help our Management Trainees to grow their skills, reach their potential and feel inspired. We believe the most rewarding way for our Management Trainees to learn is through the responsibilities of real-life business experience which we will give them from day one as well as a supported self-led learning path that is personal to them. They can apply their knowledge, by being innovative, working collaboratively across the business, and being responsive to the business' needs. We want our Management Trainees to feel welcome so there's always a Programme Manager on hand to support them. 


2. Where is work location?

Our Head Office is in Nawamin Road, Bangkok, which is next to Kaset-Nawamin road.  Our office environment is vibrant and surrounded by friendly and convenient shops and restaurants.  The traffic is practically not existed. The pink line of BTS is expected to be operated in 2021.  In addition, the accommodations, (condominium or apartment for rent) around the office are plenty, nice and affordable. 

3. What happens once my Management Trainee programme finishes after 2 years?

Your programme is designed to set you up to be ready for your next role at Tesco Lotus and become future leader of the company in long term.


4. What is functional rotation during the programme?

You will be rotated within your function, for example, if you worked in Customer Function (Marketing), you would rotate to 4 departments of Customer Function; Proposition, Brand Communication, Loyalty & Clubcard, and Value Proposition.  However, the department roadmap is subjected to change based on most suitable project for you at that time.

5. How long does it take in each rotation?

It will take around 7 months +/- which is subjected to most suitable projects designed to give you opportunity to take stretch assignments.  

6. Am I available to learn about other job functions too?

Each project assignment is designed to help you work across functions in an agile working environment, you will automatically learn and understand other functions along the programme.

7. What does it take to be a future leader?
